Calling all Antique/Vintage Decorators & Box lovers!
Calling all Antique/Vintage Basket lovers! Here's a great, old, tigtly woven, black walnut, Cherokee basket. This is signed by the artist (Shirley Gerklin (?). She won several awards at Rose State College and the latest being 2nd place in the Little classic Art Show at Guthrie, OK, in April 1988 and !989. It measures approximately 9 1/2" H x 10"L base x 8 3/4" opening. It is missing a shell and one of the shell straps.
This item may have minor scratches and scuffs, and age-related dirt or could use a good cleaning (though I saw nothing of note please see the pictures).
For condition please see pictures carefully, I try to note anything obvious.
