This is a very heavy, cast iron...well iron. It is in all its age-related glory including some rust It is a perfect part of our history. I can't imagine lifting it to iron clothes though. It is in really good shape for its age. It measures approximately 6 1/4"L x 4 1/2" w 6.2 pounds
