This listing is for a beautiful silver/silver-plate and wood butler's ashtray or crumb cleaner. It has a wonderful scallop-type flare on the edges. I love finding out what things are used for but this one gave me a chuckle. I could use someone to go around cleaning up crumbs after my family, but alas it's not in the budget to have a butler let alone one with a tray and brush. It measures approximately 10 1/2"L x 7"dia. It is marked Chippendale - International Silver Co - 6323. It looks to be in good shape (see pictures).
This item may have minor scratches and scuffs, and age-related dirt or could use a good cleaning (though I saw nothing of note please see the pictures).
