Most of the lower priced blankets are made with acrylic yarn, I believe.
The heavy, fuzzy bassinet or crib blankets are made with the softest yarn I've ever felt but the girls paid for that privilege by having to pay more per roll of yarn -$10 a roll- so therefore they cost more but they are so worth it.
